
Zombie Farmer
A 3D farming simulator with a twist! Grow zombies to invade other farms and expand your influence. Targeted for mobile devices and tablets, now available on google play store!


Zombie Farmer was wholly developed by myself from the ground up and is my most developed game so far. The game takes traditional farming and progression systems and combines them with that of strategy games and level progression. Players are encouraged to grow crops to increase their resources, grow zombies and then use their army to invade neighbouring farmers which become progressively more difficult to defeat as the game advances.

Most prefabs were designed by myself using various programs such as Blender and Unity in addition to several generative AI models. The process for each prefab was typically to image prompt a variant of my original zombie involving a mutation. Then model and animate that creation. This allowed me to maintain artistic cohesion whilst speeding up workflow. The typical process can be seen pictured on the right.










The UI theme for the game strikes a delicate balance between classic farmstead woods but also a seeping green necrotic energy which is central to the story of the game.









The feature suite for this game is extensive ranging from a ZombieDex (collectors cards) system to combat systems, fully comprehensive autosave systems, and of course the core of the game farming system.


The game is controlled using 70+ scripts with the backbone being the FarmManager script. I have added 2 exerpts above from this script, one (left) creating the system which stores the different growth stage prefabs for various crops and another (right) demonstrating the logic which the game uses to detect if a zombie is growing below a tomato plant which gives a 50% chance of a hybrid Tomato Zombie result.
